How to reach us
- By car
- Motorway A18 exit Taormina. After 6 km follow the direction to the center of Taormina: "Taormina centro", until you reach the "Lumbi" parking. Take the "montetauro" tunnel on the left of the parking until you reach "Porta Catania". Follow Via Fazzello, on the left of the arch for 500 meters and on you right you will find the Hotel Vello d'Oro.

- Nearest train station: Taormina-Giardini Naxos, from there take a taxi to the Hotel Vello d'Oro (approximately 2,5 km) You can book the taxi also on our website.Otherwise take a Sais bus.
- By plane
- International airport Catania "Fontanarossa", from there: Motorway A18 direction Messina, exit Taormina. > rent a car > take a bus at the airport bus station to Taormina (60 minutes, Time table Interbus – Etna Trasporti) > taxi to the Hotel Vello d'Oro You can book the taxi directly on our web site.
The very central position of our hotel is very much appreciated by all of our guests. All attractions can be reached by a short walk. Also the cableway which leads to the Taormina beaches is located at a few hundred meters. The Isola Bella and Mazzarò with their marvelous beaches and clear water are part of the protected WWF areas. From the cableway a little path will lead you to the sea at just 25/30 minutes.
The Vello d'Oro is situated in the heart of the historical center. Its privileged position on a small hill over the main shopping street, the Corso Umberto, offers guests an extraordinary view on the sea and as well on the Monte Tauro, the famous Teatro Greco, the Naxos Bay and mount Etna.
From both access point to the center, Porta Catania or Porta Messina it is very easy to reach the hotel:
